This article is meant to answer that simple question in a simple way -how Long can I wait before getting Pregnant After Miscarriage

Miscarriage or spontaneous pregnancy loss is one thing that no woman wishes for. But it does happen, for several reasons.

What is Miscarriage?
Miscarriage is when you loose your pregnancy before time of delivery or before it is ripe to survive independently.

Mrs. F. Asked:
I had a miscarriage last week. Do I have to wait for how long before I can take in again?

Normally, it is recommended that after a miscarriage, you should wait to have one or two periods before getting pregnant.

But the question is, what if decide to get pregnant before seeing my first period after miscarriage? Or maybe, it happens by mistake due to pressure or impatient from my husband.

In a study, this issue was looked into. The difference in getting pregnant immediately after having miscarriage and waiting for at least after the first period.

A group of women with spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) were studied. They were to vet pregnant at different times, some before seeing any period, some after seeing their period.

The out come did not show any significant adverse effect. The result of the pregnancy were the same, both with those that waited for their period and those that did not wait.

The rate of recurrence of the miscarriage are almost the same in both groups. The period of the pregnancy, and the chances of having pregnancy complications are equal in both – whether you waited to two periods or did not wait at all.

The thing is this. I’m not saying there are no complications associated with getting pregnant after having a miscarriage, No. Even normal pregnancy has its own complications that go with it. And miscarriage is usually recurrent. Having one or two miscarriages carry a great chance of having another.

But what I’m saying is that there are no much differences in outcome between waiting for your period to come or not waiting at all. Hence, the waiting if it is not convenient for you can be waved off.

But the waiting may still not be bad just for you to have some rest and recover psychologically from the loss you had. And also use the opportunity to see your doctor and talk things over – find out the possible cause and the solution too.

When to see your doctor

Miscarriage is a serious issue. It is usually recurrent in some cases. Having a single miscarriage I’d a risk factor for having another. So seeing your doctor immediately you have a miscarriage is sacrosanct. The causes must be found out treated if treatable.

  • Infections during pregnancy
  • Increased age in pregnancy

What is the cure for miscarriage

As I said above, cure is about the cause. Miscarriage is my curable, the cause may be.
